Axlura Accessibility Plugin for WordPress Is Here — Free WCAG 2.1 Scanner & Auto-Fix

If you run a WordPress site, you can now connect it to Axlura without leaving wp-admin. The Axlura Accessibility plugin is live on the official WordPress Plugin Directory — it scans your site for WCAG 2.1 issues, shows you exactly what to fix with before/after code, and gives your visitors an accessibility widget, all from a native dashboard inside WordPress.

✅ Free plugin, no restrictions: The plugin itself never limits scans, hides features, or shows a paywall. Your Axlura account plan controls scan frequency and site limits — all managed on axlura.com, never inside the plugin.

What the Plugin Does

Once you connect your Site Key, the plugin adds a full "Axlura" menu to your WordPress admin sidebar with everything you need to monitor and fix accessibility issues — no more switching tabs to axlura.com for the day-to-day work.

How to Install It

  1. In wp-admin, go to Plugins → Add New Plugin and search for "Axlura Accessibility" — or install directly from the WordPress.org plugin page.
  2. Activate the plugin — a new "Axlura" menu appears in your sidebar.
  3. Create a free Axlura account if you don't have one, add your site under Sites, and copy its Site Key.
  4. Paste the Site Key into the plugin's Settings page and save.
  5. Click Scan Now on the Reports page to run your first scan.

💡 Already using Axlura on this site? If you'd already installed the ag.js script tag manually, the plugin connects to the same Site Key and picks up your existing scan history automatically.

Fix Suggestions, Now With AI

Every issue in the Fix Suggestions page comes with a ready-made before/after code example and a plain-language explanation of why it matters. For anything that needs a more tailored answer, the "🤖 Get AI Fix" button asks GPT-4o-mini for a fix specific to that violation — available on Starter, Pro, and Agency plans.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is the Axlura WordPress plugin free? ▼

Yes. The plugin itself is completely free with no restrictions on features. Your Axlura account (created separately, free 14-day trial) controls scan frequency and how many sites you can connect.

Do I need to know how to code to use it? ▼

No. Connecting your Site Key and clicking "Scan Now" requires no code. Fix Suggestions shows exact before/after code for developers who want to apply fixes themselves, but the score, report, and checklist are useful without touching any code.

Will this conflict with another accessibility plugin I have installed? ▼

The plugin detects common accessibility-plugin slugs (UserWay, accessiBe, EqualWeb, Recite Me, and similar) and shows a warning if one is active, so you know to expect two floating widgets. It never disables anything automatically — you choose which widget to keep.

Does the plugin slow down my site? ▼

The wp-admin dashboard only loads its assets on the plugin's own settings pages. On the front end, the only addition is the optional visitor-facing widget script — a single small JavaScript file, loaded async.
